After seeing the benefits of yoga and mindfulness within some of our Forest School sessions, we felt driven to offer separate sessions to focus solely on this. Kathleen Feather offers nature-based yoga class for children aged between 4 and 12 years of age; we provide child-sized yoga mats, but ask you to bring along a blanket and bottle of water.
Attending children can be dropped off for the session, though if you would rather stay with your child you are welcome to. If adult's are staying on site, they are to remain in a designated area as much as possible, while we use a section of our site slightly to the side for our yoga.
A great way to support mental, emotional and physical wellbeing, as well as forming friendships and connecting with nature.
These sessions go ahead in all weathers (except high winds and extreme storms), so please wear comfortable, appropriate clothing. We will have tarp shelters when needs be.
These sessions will run at various points throughout the year at weekends and/or during holiday breaks.
We also offer occasional collaborations between Wilderness Forest School and Stay Fabulous With Anouska; so far these have consisted of evening adult yoga classes, and a sunrise meditation-yoga-art special involving a local artist too.
We hope to have several children's yoga sessions, adult's evening yoga sessions, and adult's mindfulness mornings in Spring and Summer 2024 - these will be listed below when confirmed nearer the time.
